Its that time of year again!

 

Its time for our 3rd Annual Winter Festival. Normally, this is held in January, but with Grandmaster Sins visit, I put it off for a month. The date will now be Saturday, February 13th. This is a great opportunity to compete in Forms and/or Sparring. I am also going to add tai chi forms this year. Each person will do one minute of a tai chi kata and be judged on that.

 

Price will be $20 this year. I am asking everyone to register by Thursday, February 11th this year. This gives me time to put the brackets together and have an idea of how many students will be present.

Medals given out to the top 3 in each category and a trophy for the overall points winner. Every child will also receive an award certificate for participation.

 

Although it is not required, I highly recommend every one get in and compete. Its a lot of fun and a great way to test your skills in this arena. We are usually surprised at the results as well. We had a white belt win in the sparring division last year. It is also a great way to help support the school. There will be several adult divisions as well as 2 kids divisions (split up by size).

 

 

 

ALSO-

We are now back on the regular test dates schedule. The next test night will be Monday, February 1st. I am not cancelling the kids or family classes this time, however. As you know, We have a test night once a month on either the 1st Monday or 1st Tuesday. Testing will begin at 7pm that night. Beginning in March, we will be back on the "all regular classes cancelled" for that one day a month.
